The project is the first purpose-designed building for visually impaired persons on the Island.

The design incorporates many simply but special features to assist visually impaired persons such as colour contrasted light switches and door handles.

The building is designed to make use of daylight with glazed rooflights in the roof structure and patent glazing to create a naturally day-lit entrance foyer.
